Bike Ride Jargon

BEACH BUM – Rider who has ridden at least one year with us and is returning to ride.
LIFETIME RIDER – Has ridden 3+ years with us.
SUPER 7 – A rider who has ridden 7+ years with us. Rider receives one Super Seven cap from us. If they lose their cap, they can purchase one through the chapter at a discounted rate.
TOP BANANA – A rider who has raised $750+. If they raise $750 this year, they qualify to be a Top Banana for 2009. They receive a Top Banana cap the first year they qualify.
BANANA SPLIT – Raised at least $2,625.
LIFETIME TEAM – Team who has participated 3+ years with us.
SUPER TEAM – Team who raises $50,000 +.
TEAM T-SHIRTS – Teams with 12+ members receive bike ride t-shirts with their team name on them.
SAG – Vehicles that provide assistance to cyclists along the route.

Support a Group
Snacks and Goodies
Support Aid Group
some claim it has a french derivation
HAM – Amateur Radio Operators who provide communications support along the route.
CENTURY – The 100 mile route on Saturday of the ride.
